This morning I was on the road at 8:00am and as usual nothing was open. I discovered later that today is All Saints Day and a public holiday in Spain.

The morning was foggy, cold and the mist did not burn off until after 9:00am.

After yesterday's long walk I was not feeling the fittest today so it was a bit of a slow start. Eventually I found an open bar and was able to get coffee, orange juice and tostada.

The walk was pleasant through forests and sunken lanes although harder than expected (probably due to yesterdays walk). I eventually walked into Santiago at around 1:30pm and found my accommodation which is very close to the Cathedral.

Arriving in Santiago completed over 525km of walking in Spain over the past three and a half weeks.

Showered and feeling a bit fitter, I visited the pilgrim office and collected my 7th Compostela. Not sure why I need so many.

I then contacted friends Sam & Carol from Missouri who arrive from Saria earlier in the day and caught up over lunch and a couple of drinks.
