Today started with a very organised breakfast at our Albergue, coffee, orange juice and a bocodillo (bread roll with something inside) and nothing else.

This was followed by the usual 5 kilometre uphill climb, although today was slightly different as we were either in cloud or fog for the entire walk.

Initially the walk was through nice forests and later through many small dairy farms.

The walk encompassed the full range of tracks and roads and included a long section of bitumen with more traffic than we were comfortable with. Also included were the now usual mud puddles that required careful navigation not to end with shoe full of ????

Phil and I do not spend a lot of time admiring the scenery and our only stops for the day were at Campiello for a Coca Cola and Borres to ring home. Surprisingly we were the first pilgrims to arrive at our Albergue and as a consequence could choose lower beds (always a bonus).

On arrival we showed had a small lunch and watched our fellow pilgrims arrive (some to be turned away because the Albergue is full (complete)). The evening meal tonight is either rice with chicken or rice with mushrooms. We chose the chicken for obvious reasons.

Tomorrow we have a choice of 2 routes across the mountains. As the high route is 2.4 kilometres shorter than the low route we are going to opt for the this option. The views are supposed to be magnificent (if the low cloud manages to stay away).
