Yesterday afternoon we visited an excellent muesum in Grandas. It was a massive collection of over 20,00 items from the past. It was well set up and spotless with no dust anywhere. It was total unexpected given the extent of the displays for the size of the town.

Last night was a great night for sleeping. We were in a room for 5 and nobody snored. It was not the same for the room next door where you could hear the snoring through the door on the way to the bathroom.

Phil had me up at 6:30am for a breakfast of cake and orange juice (purchased the evening before). We were on the road at 7:00 for the usual uphill start for the day.

Initially we were walking mist and did not see the sun until after 9:30.

After a very stiff uphill climb we arrive in Acebo about halfway through our walk where we could get refreshments. While we were there a bus pulled up and disgorged round 40 pilgrims who took over the cafe before starting their pilgrimage downhill to A Fonsagrada.

Phil and I managed to get off track over the final couple of kilometres into town, eventually arriving and finding our Albergue. On the plus side they have provided us with good showers, proper sheets and a towel. The negative is that there is no headroom in the bottom bunk (it is so low that you would not be injured if you fell off the top one).

Today we have just over 150 kilometres to go to reach Santiago de Compostela.
