Albergue San Mateo, O Cadavo, A Fonsagrada to O Cadavo, 24.3 Km, 25 May 2025

Today started around 6:00am when the girls above Phil and I decided that it was time to get up, waking everyone else in the room as a consequence.

Phil and I packed has a quick breakfast of orange juice and cake and were heading out of town prior to 7:00.

The walk today involved some serious climbs and descents but given our experience in the San Salvador there was nothing too difficult particularly as the tracks were good and lined with trees and occasional stone walls.

There were some extensive panoramic views

to keep the mind occupied while walking.

As of today we have the big climbs out of the way and the walking should be easier from here to Santiago.

Tomorrow we will reach Lugo and have a rest day there before completing the final 5 days into Santiago de Compostela
