The Albergue last night was one of the worst that we have encountered in our many years walking Camino. There was no hot water, no toilet paper, no light in one of the rooms and stairs that creaked very loudly whenever someone visited the toilet.
Staying in the Albergue were 3 Australians, a Frenchman and an English pilgrim.
Last night there was a fiesta in Coca and as a consequence all of the shops and Resturants were closed and our evening meal ended up being a kebab from a takeaway truck.
This morning we were packed and on the road at 7:00 am after an insubstantial breakfast of 4 lollies and a drink of water.
We arrived in Villeguillo just before 9:00am when the bar opened and obtained the usual Spanish breakfast of tostada and coffee.
Todays walk was flat and pleasant either through fields of wheat, barley or granola or through pine forests and well away from busy roads.
Seen during the walk were both a fox and a deer.
Arriving in Alcazaren we located the bar with the Albergue key, checked in and had a very large lunch of ham, eggs, chips and salad.
As it is Sunday and the shops are shut we have not been able to purchase anything for tomorrow’s breakfast so it looks like we will have to walk hungry for around 15 Km until we encounter an open bar.
