Hostal Pico Sacro, Santiago de Compostela, O Pedrouzo to Santiago, 19.4 Km, 1 June 2025

The day started with the alarm clock (Phil) sleeping in. Notwithstanding we were on the road just after 7:00.

Breakfast was at the second bar that we encountered due to the first one being overcrowded

The walk today would have been pleasant if you deducted the eucalyptus trees the need to skirt the airoort and the hundreds of pilgrims converging on Santiago.

Eventually we arrived on the outskirts and had to face a 3 kilometre walk through the suburbs to the Plaza del Obradorio in front of the Cathedral.

As usual we were welcomed by a bagpiper in the tunnel.

After the obligatory photo in front of the Cathedral we checked into our hotel, found something to eat before visiting the Pilgrim Office and obtaining our Compostelas.

Tonight we will meet with several of our friends from the Primitivo for a dinner together.
