Today Phil slept in and it was after 7:00 when we arose. This was not an issue as today was the shortest day of walking on this Camino.
After our usual breakfast of tostadas, orange juice and coffee we were on our way.
There were hundreds of pilgrims heading towards Santiago today and by the time that we has walked 5 kilometres we had overtaken over 50 of them. The majority of pilgrims encountered had small packs and were having their luggage transported.
Unexpectedly there was a small amount of rain this morning which required getting to the bottom of our packs for our rain gear.
Now we are on the Francis we are spoiled for places to stop for refreshments with bars every few kilometres and pop up stalls in between.
We stopped once for coffee before arriving in Arzua where we had a drink before locating our hostel. I am not sure what happened but usual slow check in process took an unprecedented half hour after which we were redirected to a building further up the street. Our accommodation is reasonable and has a TV larger than the match boxes that we are usually provided with. As an added bonus there is a John Wayne western and we have discovered that John speaks excellent Spanish.
