Hotel Rural Posada El Embrujo, Poladura de la Tricia, La Robla to Poladura de la Tricia 23.3 Km, 13 May 2025

There were six pilgrims staying at the Albergue in La Robla last night. A retired Spanish surgeon, and three girls from the UK, USA and Czech Republic. Everybody was up a 6:30 and out the door by 7:00.

Breakfast was had at Peredilla after a 3.5 kilometre walk

The initial 15 kilometres was easy walking on gently sawrising track and roads initially following the railway line then fast flowing streams up the pretty valley to Buiza.

From Buiza the pain commenced with a 350 metre climb over 3 kilometres on rough stone tracks. We managed to complete the climb in an hour and then it was then downhill to our destination. Along with was we were surrounded by spectacular scenery and at time sheer drops.

The last half kilometre was the worst of the day through boggy paddocks and as usual we ended the walk with wet feet and dirty shows.

Tonight we are staying in a cosy rural hotel which has both an evening meal and breakfast.
