Last night we were able to catch up on the sleep that we missed on the flight over from Australia.

The day commenced with a large breakfast at our hotel before we headed out to find a Travel Agent. After a bit of confusion due to out of date internet information we located the “Mr Travel” Travel Agent and discussed our requirements for our final week in Scandinavia.

A couple of hours later our bookings were complete and we left with an itinerary for visiting Lapland and northern Norway.

The remainder of the day was spent wandering around Helsinki, checking out of our hotel and finding our way back to the airport for our flight via Amsterdam to Toulouse.

Prior to our departure we were contacted by KLM and told to check in our baggage as the flights from Helsinki to Toulouse were full. While we had intended to take our packs with us in the cabin this seemed like a good option until we arrived in Toulouse and found that our packs had not arrived.

After checking in to our hotel we filled in the lost baggage paperwork on line and hope that they will arrive at some point tomorrow. A most unsatisfactory situation that has resulted from complying with the airlines requirements.
