Yesterday afternoon was spent visiting the cathedral museum in Valladolid and wandering through the streets in the old section of the city. We were very impressed by the place and put it on the list of cities in Spain that should be visited again.

In the evening we had drinks with our Australia friend Karl before struggling up the 4 flights of stairs to bed. Very comfortable but as usual the bedding was too hot and I had to resort to sleeping in my silk sleeping bag liner.

This morning we walked down to the train station to find that there were no trains to Medina de Rioseco and were redirected to the bus station half a kilometre away where we were able to obtain tickets for the midday bus.

This gave us enough time to return to the centre and visit Cervantes house (where they let old pilgrims like us in for nothing)

On arrival in Medina de Rioseco we checked into our Albergue at the Monastery

(very clean and new) before walking through the weekly market and catching up with Jen and Dave for lunch.
