I’m not sure what to say about today. We we in mist or cloud for the whole 19.3 kilometres. Parts of the walk were nice (the bits without eucalyptus trees).

As we are on the busiest part of the Camino (confluence of the Caminos Francis, Primitivo and Norte) there were bars, Albergues and cafes everywhere, probably on average one every kilometre. Very different than the San Salvador where there were only facilities at the end of the days walk.

Phil and I have reached peak fitness and can average over 5 kilometres per hour including breaks and still manage to pass most of the pilgrims carrying day packs.

After checking into our hostel we visited a local bar (previously frequented in 2014) and caught up with a couple of a Australians and a Pom for an enjoyable few drinks. Brian (the Australian) was carrying his grandmothers ashes in an old brown teapot. Definitely different and we had the privilege of being photographed holding the pot.

The bar has definitely gone up market over the past 11 years and we were able to have the best afternoon meal since arriving in Spain (expensive but well worth the money)

Tomorrow there is only 19.4 kilometres until we arrive I Santiago de Compostela.
