San Froilan 40, Lugo, O Cadavo to Lugo, 29.5 Km, 26 May 2025

As it was to be a longer walk today everyone at the Albergue was up at 6:00, breakfasted and on the road well before 7:00.

As usual the day started with an uphill after which it levelled out with minor ups and downs all the way to Lugo.

The walk was a pretty one, lined with trees on minor roads and tracks including sections of sunken roads where you are fully enclosed between high banks with overhanging trees.

As usual for this area there was a lot of water although due to a few dry days not a lot of it was running down the tracks.

The last 10 kilometres into Lugo seemed to take forever which is usual for long days walking in full sun.

Tonight we are staying in the old part of Lugo (within the city walls) in a small apartment. Tomorrow is a rest day which will be spent looking around the city.

We now only have to complete 100 kilometres to reach Santiago de Compostela.
